What do we mean by NDIS Plan Implementation?

Once your NDIS Plan is approved, it’s time to implement it.

Your plan implementation may include your Local Area Coordinator’s (LAC) help to find the community activities in your interest and the mainstream services that help you achieve your goals.

While we are supporting you with your NDIS Plan implementation, your Loyal Aid Australia Support Coordinator will ask you some important questions to better understand your goals and aspirations and, most importantly, your individual support needs.

This is because we want to know what’s important to you, whether you have any preference and/or skill requirements in a Support Worker, Support Coordinator, Psychosocial Recovery Coach, or Allied Health Professional and the frequency of the support you require.

Together, we will check your NDIS Plan to understand your funded NDIS support services and confirm how we will work together to implement your NDIS Plan.

A member of our Support Coordination team will assist you in choosing the support providers of your choice, help you create your NDIS participant portal access, consider activities of interest, explore the ways to achieve your NDIS plan goals, submit mandatory reports to the NDIA as requested and help you prepare for your next NDIS Plan review meeting.

We will conclude a support plan tailored to your individual support needs and the allocated member of our support coordination team will work with you to implement your NDIS plan by keeping the NDIS’s reasonable and necessary framework in mind!

During the first NDIS Planning meeting or NDIS Plan review meetings with your designated Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or NDIS Planner, you can request your Referral for Services sent to Loyal Aid Australia for the Support Coordination Psychosocial Recovery Coach support services.

What is Core Supports budget?

Core support budgets are generally the most flexible among all budgets. They consist of four kinds of services:

  • Consumables (e.g., acquiring continence products)
  • Daily Activities (e.g., daytime and evening self-care support)
  • Assistance with Social and Community Participation (e.g., support for taking part in social and recreational activities)
  • Transport (e.g., if you have difficulty using public transportation).

What is Capital Support?

Capital Support can include vehicle modifications, home modifications, and specialist disability accommodation.

Home modifications may include:

  • Grab rails

  • Accessible bathroom

  • The slip-resistant coating on flooring

  • Installing ramps and landscaping modifications

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) also falls under home modifications. If you have an extreme functional impairment or very high support needs, you may be eligible for SDA funding support. SDA is a house, apartment or unit, or another type of building suitable to your specific needs.
